Life's Rodeo For
Jay
I will help you rodeo, Son, and name you as
Champion
in the arena of life. I am your father and will give you strength.
You will only rodeo one circuit that will span all your tomorrows.
Every
event is open to you. May you enter those which will reward
you with the
greatest satisfaction and self-esteem.
You'll work
with truly great chute help, consisting
of Honesty, Loyalty, Devotion to
Duty, Self Respect, Cleanliness,
Good Behavior, and Courage. Your pick up
men have great reputations
also, for they are Faith, Hope and Charity.
In this rodeo you will go by ten rules which you
know as the Ten Commandments, and you will follow in accordance
with
your own faith. There is also one important ground rule to
obey " Do unto
others as you would have them do unto you."
The
buzzer at the end of your ride will open
the Gates of Heaven, where God sits
as Judge, Flagman and Timekeeper.
I will open the
chute gate. You will ride the
wild stock of life into the arena of years. It
will try to throw
you, and probably will more than once, but when the dust
has settled
I will see you climb aboard once more to ride to a good finish.
Hold on Son, - Give it all you've got, and
lets
see what you can do with it.
